The Feedback & Ratings is designed to encourage fair and honest trading, and to help keep shoppingtown.info a safe and enjoyable place to buy and sell online.
Feedback & Rating
Feedback & Rating allow you build a trading reputation on shoppingtown.info. Each time you buy or sell, you will receive feedback and a rating (positive, neutral or negative) from the other trader, based on their experience dealing with you.
Your rating and the feedback you receive can be checked by any other shoppingtown.info member.
A Good Mechanism For Buyer and Seller
As shoppingtown.info members may check the feedback and ratings of any other member, a negative rating or poor feedback may affect a member's ability to buy and sell. This provides incentive to trade fairly.
View Feedback & Ratings
Checking another member's feedback and ratings is a great way to help you decide if you want to trade with them. By checking how other buyers and sellers have found their dealings with that person, you can make up your mind about whether you think they are an honest and reliable trader.
Shoppingtown.info recommends taking a member's feedback and ratings into consideration when deciding to:
- sell your item to a particular buyer, or
- buy an item from a particular seller.
View Feedback & Ratings
You can check:
- another member's feedback and ratings by:
- clicking on their Username, or
- clicking on the Seller Feedback tab from within a seller's ad
- your feedback and ratings by signing in to My Account and going to Feedback under My Profile.
About ratings
Members rate their experiences with other members as either:
- positive (rating of 1 to 5)
- neutral (rating of 0), or
- negative (rating of -1 to -5).
An overview of a member's feedback & ratings is provided as:
- Shoppingtown.info Rating
Is the number of positive ratings, subtract the number of negative ratings. - Positive Feedback Rating
Percentage of all ratings received that were positive.
You can also see a summary of ratings provided over the last month, 6 months, 12 months or since the member registered.

In addition to providing a rating, members can also provide details about their experience in the form of feedback.
Simply use the tabs to view feedback the member has received and provided.

Remember: Your reputation is important to trade successfully on shoppingtown.info. Feedback you provide is as much a reflection of how you conduct yourself online as is the feedback you receive. Check out the Feedback & Rating Policies for guidelines on sending feedback to members.
Try to resolve any disputes or misunderstandings with a member before sending any negative feedback. A majority of members will attempt to resolve any issues in order to retain their trading reputation.
Common Questions
- When do I receive feedback?
The seller may send feedback after they have received payment and sent the item.
The buyer may send feedback after they have received the item.
The seller's feedback you receive is posted on the View Order Feedback under the My Account.
The buyer feedback is on the View Seller Feedback under the Manage Shop Order And Feedback. - Can I respond to feedback?
Yes. Buyers and sellers may respond once to feedback they have received. See responding to feedback for more details. - What if I think the feedback I have received is unfair?
If you consider feedback you have received to be unfair, try to resolve the issue by contacting the other member. If you can both come to an agreement, you may request an Agreed Feedback Withdrawal to have the feedback removed and your rating recalculated if necessary.
