Unwelcome and malicious buying policy
To protect the marketplace and ensure that all parties are aware of the contractual obligations that arise when a buyer places an order to buy, shoppingtown.info provides a range of tools to help sellers protect themselves from buyers who might disrupt their business in some way
Buyers are not allowed to complete a transaction, bid on or buy an item if they are not willing to meet or adhere to the seller?s terms, as stated in the listing, or with the intent to disrupt and leave negative feedback or ratings without the intention to complete the transaction.
Sellers can make use of the Withdraw Order function if any buyer fails to adhere to the terms and conditions of sue for shoppingotwn.info, or the additional terms set out in the seller?s listing. The Withdraw Order functions is only available to sellers prior to the item or goods being sent for delivery, and if the buyer has already made payment, the seller must refund the payment in full. Once the item or goods have been shipped, the Withdraw Order function is no longer available. The parties can proceed to lodge a dispute under the applicable shoppingtown.info policies, such as the refund policy, or they may attempt to resolve the matter through mutual agreement. Please refer to the section entitled Cancel Transaction for further information.
Breaches of this policy may result in a range of actions, including:
- Listing cancellation
- Limits on account privileges
- Account suspension
Note: Buyers who fail to respond or who back out of a transaction do not fall under the Unwelcome and Malicious Buying policy. These listings should be reported as Unpaid Items.
Contact Us to report a buyer who participated in a listing without meeting the listing terms, or placed a bid only with the intent of disrupting the listing.
